How vehicle import works.

Your order is created and you receive access to our Autohaus Zwer Connect dashboard.

You pay the prepayment invoice within 7 days and grant us power of attorney so we can contact the dealer and handle the necessary administrative steps in your name.

We coordinate with the dealer and organise the purchase contract, which we make available to you in the dashboard.

If you selected an inspection, we organise it with our partner DEKRA and the car dealer. If you are not satisfied with the inspection result, you can cancel the order at this point and only the inspection costs apply.

You send us the signed purchase contract, we complete the purchase with the dealer on your behalf and begin the preparation work.

After you have transferred the purchase price to the dealer and confirmed the payment to us, we request the foreign documents and handle activation in Austria. This includes rewriting vehicle documents, paying NoVA and activation in the approval database.

We send you the original papers, including the newly issued Typenschein, so you can register the vehicle. If you have a property or parking space where the vehicle can temporarily stand without registration, immediate transport is possible and can speed up the overall process.

Depending on the selected shipping method, we commission professional and insured transport from the dealer to your home. We contact you beforehand to clarify the details.

The carrier delivers your car to the specified location. Once you receive the vehicle, the process is complete.
