Order created & dashboard access
Your order is created and you get access to our Autohaus Zwer Connect dashboard — your central overview of every step.

Deposit invoice & power of attorney
within 7 daysYou pay the deposit invoice within 7 days and grant us power of attorney so we can contact the dealer on your behalf and handle the required administrative steps.

Contacting the dealer
1–3 daysWe coordinate with the dealer and organise the purchase contract, which we make available to you in the dashboard.

Vehicle inspection
OptionalIf you selected an inspection, we arrange it with our partner DEKRA and the dealer. If the result does not convince you, you can cancel the order at this point — only the inspection costs apply.

Closing the purchase
You send us the signed purchase contract, we close the purchase with the dealer for you and start the preparatory work.

Administrative tasks
Once you have transferred the purchase price to the dealer and confirmed the payment, we request the foreign papers and take care of clearance in Austria: transferring the vehicle documents, filing the NoVA and preparing the registration.

Registration & handover
We complete the registration in Austria and hand over the fully registered vehicle — delivered to your door on request.

Frequently asked questions about the process
How long does the whole import take?
From order to handover usually takes 3–5 weeks. The biggest factor is the transport (1–2 weeks); we handle the paperwork in parallel.
When exactly are my costs fixed?
Already at step 2. The NoVA calculator shows you every item — vehicle price, NoVA, transport and service fee — before you order. Those costs are binding.
What if I do not like the inspection result?
You can cancel the order at step 7 free of charge. Only the cost of the inspection itself applies — no further fees.
Do I have to travel to the dealer abroad myself?
No. From the power of attorney at step 5 we take over dealer contact, purchase handling and transport entirely.
Which package fits my situation?
For an EU import choose an import package. If you already own the car and are moving to Austria, the relocation package fits. For a car found within Austria, the Austria package.
